Struggled to get comfortable on the RRD again. Enough wind in the gusts with 5.8, but found it hard work to drive the board with inboard straps. Came in to think about moving the straps outboard, but others were on a similar setup and I wanted the inboard straps to practice footsteering and hops so decided to leave them alone.

Then the wind filled in so wacked on some more DH and OH and tried again. There is always a bias with the wind and the chop at Blithfield and going into the chop I had both feet right in the straps for security then running with the chop I edged the back foot out to drive off the deck pad and push upwind. This session was much better and made a few planing gybes and chop hops. Tried carving through the wind with both feet in the straps - the board helps this as there is loads of float and it planes at slow speeds. Tacking much improved as well.

Lovely afternoon after the sun came out and warm despite the wind. Much happier with the board after the second session - not sure whether I changed my stance or if it was the stronger breeze.
